I am a big hotel lover and always find it is so much fun when researching hotel for my next trip. And here I want to start share some really good ones I’ve found.
Let’s start it with this eco-friendly hotel – Coco-Mat Hotel in Athens.
THE ATMOSPHERE
Coco-May Hotel Athens is an absolutely go-go hotel in Athens if you want to experience a non-tradition sophisticates Athens style. The boutique hotel is just like a showcase of the famous eco-friendly brand Coco-Mat with everything in a Scandi-Chic theme.
The hotel is located in Kolonaki, surrounded by lots interesting cafe, designer boutiques, and local shops. It would take around 20mins to walk from the hotel to Acropolis. And the hotel had offered bike to use if you’d love to ride around the city. Alternatively, metro station is 5mins away and taxi is always available as well.
The hotel has a very cute rooftop, that you can overlook the Acropolis (a little bit far away, but absolutely an obstacle-free view). The rooftop’s sparkle is it’s small plant decorate graffiti wall. Many of you may already know, I am a big graffiti fun. So this rooftop nailed it!
THE ROOM
I stayed in the Metropolitan Loft room, and it was a killer! The room is very simple and modern style. The balcony on the upper level has a great view of sunset. The beddings, mattress, and pillows are all hand made with local natural materials. I just can’t express how comfort the bed was and how relaxed every morning I woke up. Maybe the only drawback was the restroom is downstairs, where I have to go downstairs if I wake up at night :(. But guess what, the bed was just so comfortable that I didn’t wake up at night at all. Oh yeah they put lavender spice bag underneath the pillow. Smells so good!
THE FOOD
I only had breakfast at the hotel, as my days are spent exploring Vegan food in the City. However, the breakfast is really impressive and I even forgot to take some good pictures of it. It is a buffet style breakfast, serving lots of raw food (unsalted nuts, seeds, etc), honey on its beehive, natural granola, fresh multi-grain breaks, and Goji Berry!!!! Yes they have Goji berry – one of my favorite superfood ever!
